Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Effective Date: October 17, 2026

DriftLens ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://driftlens.app and its associated services.

We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how your information is collected, used, and stored.

1. Information We Collect

When you use DriftLens, we may collect the following information:

Account Information

  • Email address
  • Username or display name and profile image URL, including information supplied by a connected sign-in provider
  • Authentication information required to maintain your account
  • Account preferences and settings

Uploaded Data

  • Vehicle telemetry and driving session recordings
  • Vehicle position, speed, steering, and other recorded driving information
  • Calculated scores, statistics, and driving analysis results
  • Uploaded car and track definitions, including names, author information, metadata, and version history

Technical Information

Our application and service providers may automatically process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and server logs for security, troubleshooting, and service operation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate users and process password resets
  • Store and analyze uploaded driving sessions
  • Provide scoring, playback, and visualization features
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve DriftLens
  • Communicate important service-related information
  • Prevent misuse and protect the security of the platform

We do not use uploaded telemetry for purposes unrelated to operating or improving DriftLens without providing appropriate notice or obtaining consent when required.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

DriftLens uses third-party infrastructure providers to operate its services.

These include:

  • Neon: Database storage for account information, recordings, and application data
  • [Hosting Provider]: Hosting and delivery of the application
  • Resend: Delivery of transactional emails, including password resets. We provide the recipient email address and message content to Resend.

These service providers may process information as necessary to deliver their respective services.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a legitimate business transfer, subject to applicable law.

[Confirm before publishing: DriftLens does not sell users' personal information or uploaded telemetry to advertisers or data brokers.]

4. Cookies and Tracking

DriftLens may use essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain authentication sessions and provide core application functionality.

[Confirm whether analytics, performance monitoring, advertising cookies, or other third-party tracking tools are used. Identify relevant providers and explain any additional tracking here.]

Do Not Track Disclosure

[Confirm before publishing: DriftLens does not currently respond separately to browser "Do Not Track" signals. State whether any third parties collect information about users' activities over time and across other websites through DriftLens.]

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account information and uploaded recordings while your account is active to provide the service.

You can delete your account from Account settings. Once deletion completes, we remove your profile, linked authentication records, sessions, outstanding password-reset records, and recordings, including their stored telemetry and analysis results, from our active application database.

Uploaded car and track definitions are archived and retained after account deletion, including their names, metadata, and version history. This includes private definitions and definitions that are not referenced by other recordings. We remove their link to your account and exclude them from the lists used to select cars and tracks for new recordings. Definitions referenced by other users' existing recordings may remain accessible through those recordings so that playback continues to work.

We currently retain archived car and track definitions without a fixed automatic deletion period. Archiving does not necessarily remove identifying information included in uploaded content, such as author names. You may contact [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information remaining in retained content.

Account deletion does not immediately remove information from application or hosting logs, previously sent emails, database backups, snapshots, or separate database copies. These may retain information after it has been removed from the active application database. Some information may also be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Resend currently lists 30-day email and log retention for its Free, Pro, and Scale plans; other arrangements may differ. See Resend's security and retention information for details. Deleting your DriftLens account does not itself delete previously sent messages from Resend.

[Confirm before publishing: specify the hosting provider and actual retention periods for application and hosting logs, Neon restore history, backups, snapshots, and separate database copies. Confirm the Resend plan and any custom retention settings, and decide the retention period and purpose for archived definitions, including private and unreferenced definitions.]

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction.

However, no online service or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

DriftLens is not directed toward children under 13 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or otherwise control certain personal information.

You may contact us to submit a privacy-related request. We will review and respond in accordance with applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in DriftLens, our data practices, or applicable law.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate or required by law.
